Joseph Matarese MBA, FACHE | Entrepreneur, CEO, Executive Chairman Joseph Matarese has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare and information technology services industries. In January 2004, he founded Medicus Healthcare Solutions on the principle that there had to be a better way to deliver consulting and staffing services to healthcare clients. His innovative approach to providing physician staffing and operational consulting services to hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare organizations has revolutionized the industry. Today, Medicus Healthcare Solutions, one of the premier medical consulting and recruitment organizations in the United States, serves thousands of clients and providers nationwide. Medicus is the 5th largest provider of locum tenens physicians in the United States. Mr. Matarese oversees the firms' rapid growth and expansion. In 2018, Mr. Matarese successfully led a transaction partnering with Chicago-based private equity firm BPOC. He serves as Executive Chairman of Medicus and Chief Investment Officer at The MFO Group, an investment and consultant company. Mr. Matarese is an active founder and investor in five startup organizations. In early 2018, he launched Reliant Life Sciences, a staffing company focused exclusively on the life sciences markets and dedicated to providing engineering compliance experts who can readily help organizations respond and adapt to emerging market changes. During 2019 he extended his expertise in staffing into an area of personal passion, helping military veterans. Fusion Cell became his latest collaboration to serve those who have served in the military by navigating their post-duty journey into some of the fastest-growing and most recognizable civilian corporations across the country. Early in 2020 he founded Recovery Logistics Network, an entity established to assist healthcare organizations in acquiring critical PPE and medical devices as traditional supply chains broke down and struggled to meet demand associated with emergent events. In 2021, Mr. Matarese launched two more companies. Cryptillian and Lusso Brands. Cryptillian is a technology and data processing company. The firm's primary business is crypto debit cards allowing business-to-consumer and consumer-to-consumer transactions exclusively in crypt-currency. Lusso Brands is a manufacturer and purveyor of high-end men's and women 's luxury apparel and accessories. Mr. Matarese is a fellow at the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). At the same time, Mr. Matarese holds memberships with numerous organizations, including the Boston College Chief Executives Club-Center of Entrepreneurship, Carroll School of Management, Independent Institute, Mises Institute, The American Institute of Economic Research(AIER), and the Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE). Mr. Matarese serves on the board of South Star Urgent Care, Granite Recovery Center, NOW Insurance, the USTA Foundation, and the Navy Seal Museum advisory board. Mr. Matarese is an operating partner with Chicago-based private equity firm Shore Capital Partners and New York-based Blue Cloud Ventures. Previously, Mr. Matarese served on the board of The Stepping Stone Group, which successfully sold in December 2017. Mr. Matarese graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and graduated from the University of Texas with a Masters in Business Administration.
